“After finishing my secondary school, I stayed home because my grades did not allow me to continue to study, I live with my grandmother and she is a chairperson of our street, also she is an entreprenure who is making Maandazi. So I was helping her to prepare and cook them after I sell. She provide me all the basics needs. Also, I was helping her with domestic work example cooking a family diner and lunch.
After, I get involved in VOYOTA under Her Voice project it give’s me purpose to work for, I did not have anything else to give me challenge to think move about my life because everything for me, so I did not want more, but now I need to see I produce something of my own.
About VOYOTA, for my side, I know it’s an organization dealing with youth, I think it’s best for it to continue to provide this service to youth and community, because it have so many impacts to youth because its engaging youth in different opportunities.
About Her Voice project, It’s a project which is for young girls which empower young girls in entrepreneurship activities. It gives girls education on SRH also through the project I can make soap, cake, bread and clothes example trousers also I can make handbags and wallets.
I learned a lot including life skills, making cake, soap, handbags, clothes and also I learned about climate change, I learned about Human’s right and french (with international volunteer) and japan languages. I’m proud, I can talk and present myself in french.
I would like to become an entreprenure and sell the products I have created”.
