Jackline Nasson – 19 years old – Usa Ngarasero

“After finishing my secondary school, I passed to go on with me advance education but I didn’t continue because of financial problems. So, I stayed home and engage with my friends at the street just staying at home doing the domestic work.

Now, I can see I have something to focus on, back in my street it’s very risky for a young girl to stay at home only and don’t have anything to work for. It can lead to pregnance or early marriage but now I have something to put my mind into, so I use my time.

About VOYOTA, it’s an organization dealing with youth around my age, I think on the community on organization like VOYOTA is needed to expand its services and reach more girls because many of them are on the street doing nothing. It is risk for them.

About Her Voice project, It’s a project which is for young girls it educated them on SRH and GBV, also it helped to empower us on entrepreneurship activities including how to make soap, bread and cake also to make clothes example gaun, trousers also though this project we are now aware of how to use condoms, how to get informations about SRH.

I learned a lot including life skills, making cake, soap, handbags, clothes and also I learned about climate change, I learned about Human’s right and french and japan languages. I’m proud, I can talk and present myself in french.

I would like to become a good entreprenure, sewing girls clothes also to sell cakes, also conserve the environment. I would like to become a teacher and teach what I have learned in VOYOTA”.
